The honey produced by local beekeepers is very different from supermarket honey which is usually a blend of imported honeys. The taste and colour will depend on which plants the bees have been foraging, and so will depend on the season.
Also, local honey will not have been processed like supermarket honey and will contain more of the natural ingredients such as pollen.
Although many beekeepers only produce a small amount of honey they are usually willing to sell any surplus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
